Welcome to the Audit Commission's Housing Market Analysis Tool

This resource has been developed to promote increased understanding of housing market issues and trends in local areas, as well as for wider sub regions and regions. It is a user friendly tool that allows comparisons to be made over time between any given area, sub region and region for a number of key housing market indicators enabling different places to see their main housing market issues at a glance.

The following pages also include information on why increased understanding of housing market trends is important and what else you need to do locally. They give information on the tool overall, what it does and doesn't do, how to use it and why the indicators were selected. Advice is given on interpreting the findings, as well as where else to go to find further information and good practice.
